Wacky Hair Day

Jess                                                                               Samuel
These three children had the craziest hair dos in the class. We had an amazing assembly. At the assembly we sung Bad Hair Day and these three were up the front of the entire school doing the actions to the song. They put in alot of effort, time and a little bit of money for colours. Do you like their style?

Lakewood Lodge Brochures

Over the last few weeks we have making camp booklets. Now we are onto the part where we make camp brochures. First we had to make a draft in our book to plan what our brochure would look like. So far we are still on our drafts but some fast-finishers are already onto their good copy on publisher as shown on the bottom picture.  We chose the programme Pblisher because it is easier than Word as there is a brochure template. Hopefully on Monday we will all be up to our good copies. We still have a lot to do on our camp booklets so we hope for the best. The camp booklets will be coming home so we can keep them for life.

Maths website for maths homework

Hi everyone, I have had release this morning to do some Mathematics work. The site http://nzmaths.co.nz/ is a great site to look at. You will see in the jigsaw at the top there is a jigsaw named families. Click in there and you will find a range of maths things you can do at home. I hope it is useful. Leanne.

Camp letters and "I remember"

We are learning to write letters. We have started with writing to the staff at Lakewood Lodge. Miss J let us choose who we were going to write to. Tyler chose Abby who did the Flying Fox and Low Ropes. She was cool. Lara chose Mike who took us on our Survival adventure.

We have been doing our draft copy and will soon be doing our puplished letter to staff at Lakewood Lodge.

This is us doing our "I remember" worksheet for our Camp Booklet. The funnist moment was when we were grabbing the eletric fence and we all fell down.

Back from camp

Hi everyone, we made it back from camp in one piece, although some of the children still looked a little bit tired! It was a fabulous week with lots of kids out of their comfort zone and giving it a go. There was lots of team building and supportive cheers given throughout the week. The children did a great job of looking after themselves and their property. So, you should see new children cleaning up after themselves and even putting dirty clothes in the laundry hamper. At least I hope so. I told them today if they can do it at camp, they can do it at home. I will put up more pictures throughout the week. Enjoy these. Miss J.
