Pengu the Penguin a fairy tale By Grace

Pengu the penguin

Once upon a time in a beautiful shinny place there lived Pengu. Pengu is a penguin that lives in Antarctica. She lives in a big igloo with her mum, dad, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Pengu’s best friend is called Hammy. Hammy is a gorgeous looking monster that can swim under water without losing her breath. One golden morning Pengu’s mother said to go to her grandma and give her some bread. So Hammy and Pengu set off to give bread to her granny. The water was shimmering in the sun light there was no breeze. It was the best day for a swim and to visit her grandma. So they set of in the water. They had to swim for half an hour. On the way they came across a seal. The seal was brown with a shiny white patch on his back. This seal likes eating penguins. So the seal lead them the long way around. This meant that it would take another hour to get to their granny’s. Meanwhile the seal went to granny’s and ate her up in one gulp when Pengu and Hammy got there they smelt that granny was gone. Hammy and Pengu bet up the seal with the kung fu moves they learnt and got granny back. They gave granny the bread and lived happily ever after. By Grace J

New design for All Black Rugby Jersey

I made my All Blacks jersey similar to the current one because I thought my jersey would look too silly with crazy colours everywhere. Jonathan
I made my All Black's Rugby jersey nearly the same, but with a Kiwi playing Rugby, holding the Silver Fern, because it shows lots of New Zealand's famous icons. Mark
I used the native images of New Zealand because the shirt will look different and more people will look at it.

I used two korus to repesent our Maori culture and I kept the rest the same because I didn't want to change the design. Yunfan
I used the Telecom NZ sign because Telecom never sponser any rugby shirts unlike Vodafone. The others I didn't want to change. Wellington

I used Tui because I wanted to try something different I aslo put a big silver fern in the backround because it is our native plant. I would not change anything on my jersery. Henry
I used colours from the All Blacks training jersey by puting a green stripe diagonally down the middle and red at the begining of the sleeves and my own colour, blue at the end of the sleeves. I used four support logos Rebel Sport, Sony, Adidas and Tui Beer. Jordan

I designed this shirt because I wanted to support the All Blacks and I wanted it for my own liking. Sahil
On my T-Shirt I created a kiwifruit for my logo. I had the Kiwi on the right side to show that Kiwis aren't afraid to win the world cup. I did the colourful stripes for decoration and I liked the colours. Greer
On my T shirt there is a kiwifruit as one of the NZ icons. My logo is supporting Up and Go the drink. I kept my shirt black because that is the colour that has been used for many years. Caitlin

I really like my shirt and I designed it on the original jersey with my added twist. I added gold and more silver ferns to give it character. Keegan

The way I designed my shirt was I put the Kiwi where the Silver Fern was and I put some stripes on it around the t-shirt. I had quite a few different colours because I liked them and they worked well together. I kept the middle black because I wanted the biggest colour to stay the same. Grace

I designed my shirt because the plain black is kind of boring so I added korus and black, brown and green stripes. I keeped the sponser Adidas and added Canterbury and Powerade. Dante

I put the green stripe across my shirt because I thought that would be different. I used the Dell, YouTube and Google logos because I believe them to be very rich companies. Ashton.

I like my shirt because it is like the All Blacks shirt but with some modifications. I added the red stripes on the side with green piping to symbolise Christchurch and the nature we have. The logos I added are Sony and Weetbix. I added these because Sony usually films the games and Weetbix is an official sponser of the All Blacks. Nicholas.

For my shirt I chose white for my main colour because I thought that black was getting old. I also added in some kiwiana and I chose Powerade as my logo because I love the drink. Sam.

For my shirt, I decided to bring back the long sleeves. I evened the colours (black and white) out to show that NZ isn't only black. I also have the logo's L'n'P and Adidas. Reuben W 

Room 2's flags

In Room 2 we have been learning about the Rugby World Cup. There are twenty countries in the tournament.We picked countries out of a hat and I picked out England.We all painted the flags we pulled out. Then we read some information about our countries flag and wrote genral information about them. It was very fun and interesting to paint and learn about the countries flags in the World Cup.

Josh's Cool School video

Hi I'm Josh, we have been working on a Cool School Video. We are entering a competition and if we win we can get 10 ipads for our school. The message we are trying to get across is that our school is the coolest school in New Zealand. We have been filming scenes about the playgrounds, teachers, getting involved in sports and other activities like Kapahaka and Choir.
Its been fun filming this movie because you get to work with your friends and they can really be helpful in remembering not to be too pressuring. Filming is also fun because you get to edit your work. Editing is cool because you can add in sound effects and music to make the video more interesting. I enjoyed it alot. By Josh

Teagans Cludo movie making

Hi I'm Teagan, during Art rotation we have been doing Drama with Miss Williams. We have written a script about two naughty characters from the Cludo game. They try to steel the new trophy but White and Mr Magoo try to stop them. We had to dress up and get into character and make the movie. We used the school bloggies to film our movie. We have started editing and will be played next week. Hopefully we can up load this and have it in our next blog.
I enjoyed how we got to act like some different and that we got to dress up. Our group was Ashton, Greer, Jordan, Carl and myself. Making movies is fun. Teagan.

Dante's Poem

It would be a sparkling, bright pink and as happy as a young 5 year old eating chocolate on Easter
If happy was a taste
It would be just like melted Dairy Milk Chocolate with a chocolate and caramel brownie

It would be as warm and cuddly as a fluffy dog

It would be as smelly and as beautiful as a red rose

Sam's science experiment

Hi everyone, my science experiment was with an egg and vinegar. I put an egg in vinegar for 4 days, the egg was suppose to become bouncy because the vinegar sucks out the calcium out of the shell. We tested the egg by dropping it from about 3cm from the concrete. At this height it bounced really well. The next height we tried was 5cm, this also bounced really well. Unfortunately, at about 10cm the egg broke. This was a cool experiment. By Sam.
